Sutton Residence
The Sutton residence of Pakuranga in Auckland, was in need of a total refurbishment which would include an addition to the Eastern end of the house. Initially, the house’s 41 year-old pitched steel roof was going to be freshened-up with two coats of paint, however faint water stains on some areas of the internal ceilings pointed to some water ingress. From the outside, the roof also looked to be ‘dipping’ in areas, indicating that the purlins needed some rework as well. The addition’s new roof would also have looked slightly different next to the freshly-painted old one.
