Viking Butylclad

Viking Butylclad is ideal for waterproofing low-slope roofs and gutters. Its long narrow rolls minimise unnecessary end-laps and off-cut waste.

Viking Butylclad membranes are made of 70% butyl and 30% EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber; the latter providing the extra UV resistance and elongation properties over 100% butyl membranes.

Viking Epiclad - EPDM Rubber

Viking Epiclad is a ‘no nonsense’ membrane made from 100% EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber.

Viking Epiclad has excellent elasticity, tensile and elongation properties and is virtually indestructible by UV, ozone and weathering. The wide sheets minimise joins and installation time and optimise waterproofing capabilities. Epiclad membrane is arguably the industry’s best at forgiving a timber building substrate flex and movement, without splitting; especially during changing seasons.

Viking Roofspec also offers a specialised overlay product: Epiclad FBS

Viking Epiclad FBS (fleece-backed system) is a roofing membrane where a ‘fluffy’ polyester layer is factory-laminated to the underside of the Viking Epiclad waterproofing membrane. Epiclad FBS is one of the best re-roofing solutions for overlaying over old bitumen or uneven substrates such as rough concrete. A specialised two-part foam adhesive is used to securely bond the membrane to the old roof, and the fleeced underside forgives its roughness; thus creating a lot smoother surface than before.

Like Enviroclad FBS, Epiclad FBS also: saves labour time in up-lifting the existing membrane; avoids the environmental impact of waste disposal of the uplifted roofing materials; and minimises the disruption to building inhabitants who don’t have to be relocated.
